Perfect metaphor for how collectivist cultures found in political movements and consumer culture (BLM, ANTIFA, progressives, woke cancel cultures, etc.) submerge and destroy individuals and the concept of individuality.

Rodents that are used as a metaphor for human behavior, a warning for those who so blindly follow a crowd, even towards catastrophe.

Perfect example would be the pseudo-science anti-vaxxers who refuse to take the covid vaccine, and are potentially heading towards death.

The Lemming myth endures because of the barbarity of the 1958 Disney nature film “White Wilderness,” when the cruel filmmakers staged a lemming death plunge by pushing dozens of lemmings off a cliff just to get dramatic footage.
