A 19th-century term re-coined by Professor Joel Kotkin defining the select group of journalists, think-tank pundits, and academics who provide ideological legitimation for the elite and oligarchs of Silicon Valley’s progressive goals, thereby ensuring wealth and power in their select hands while leaving the middle class stranded and in economic decline within a neo-feudal society.
